Wearing The Latest Beauty Trends To Work

By: Aleya Bamdad of Long Island Beauty School in New York

Keeping up with the latest beauty trends may not be the easiest thing to do- especially when the latest trends are all about color and sparkle. However, there are many schools to work and learn every beauty trend aspect with the Kosmetae Academy. Remember just because you can’t go to work completely made up in the latest trends, it doesn’t mean that you can’t show your personal style. Here are some tips.

A Little Goes A Long Way

So the latest beauty trend says that you should apply colored mascara and liner along with eye shadow to your eye area. If you work in a creative industry that’s ok, but if you work in an industry where you have to look somewhat more professional all you have to do is tone it down. Instead of applying every piece of makeup that you own, take the trend apart and use only what you love the most. For example, if you really want to use blue on your lids, rather than use blue eye shadow you can use a blue liner. Navy is conservative and turquoise makes more of a splash, but at the end you get the look you want and still look professional.

Work With Shades Of Colors

Trends may tell you that certain colors are in style, however don’t forget that there are so many shades of each one of those colors and that you can always go up or down a few shades to get a great look. Chances are, you’re not going to wear fire engine red lipstick if you’re a judge. However, you can wear a shade of red that’s in the berry family.

Try Another Trend

The beauty industry understands that not all women can wear whatever styles and trends they want at work so they make sure to give you lots of options.  This way, you can always find something that’s up to date and still fit in at work. For example, right now the 70s have made a strong comeback so natural looking makeup and neatly pulled back hair are one of the top trends out there. Any woman in any industry can pull this look off and feel great.

Adding a little kick to your beauty routine really isn’t that hard once you’ve mastered the art of toning down. Remember that you can look professional and trendy at the same time without looking and feeling boring. Good luck!
