Supermodel Sunday

She’s a fashion icon. She’s a world class supermodel. I have admired her beauty & grace for many years. I remembered in my teens seeing her in Revlon ads with Jerry Hall. Iman has made a ground breaking mark in the Cosmetic World. The Beauty of Color: The Ultimate Beauty Guide for Skin of Color is on my coffee table. I pride myself on being a visual learner. This is the first beauty and makeup book to truly address skin tones across the spectrum-Latina, Black, Asian, Indian, Native American, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, as well as women of mixed ethnicities.

The last time I worked on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia the makeup artist applied Iman foundation & powder. It’s a great line with endless shades for every woman. In her book she teaches you how to work with skin care regimens and palettes targeted to your exact skin tone and type.

With stunning color photos and images on every page that rival editorial campaigns. This book is, a work of beauty, featuring Tyra Banks, Kimora Lee Simmons, Alicia Keys, Eva Mendes,  Selma Hayek, Venus and Serena Williams, and other celebrities, as well as ordinary women of all ages. Unique, enlightening, and artistic, The Beauty of Color is not only the first book to show women of every shade how to look their very best, but it showcases an array of beauty most of us are not use to seeing in traditional media.

Every Makeup Junkie should have this book!

Beauty Tip of The Day: Never put blush on the apples of the cheeks. Keep it BELOW the cheekbone and away from the eyes.
