Are you uncomfortable every time you speak to someone you don’t know? I think we’ve heard “Don’t Talk To Strangers” so much as children and carry that into adulthood. There’s a time and place for everything.
Here’s one of my favorite statistics!
What you say only accounts for 7% of the perception made of us, 35% is how you say it ( your tone of voice), and a massive 55% is based purely on how you look– the way you stand, the clothes you wear and your personal grooming.
Every time you speak, you’re either contributing to the negativity in the world or you’re a fierce and positive force.
How many times have you heard a picture is worth a thousand words but when you speak it could be worth thousands of dollars? Trust me on this one!
Speaking is sexy…every time you utter a word it should inspire & influence people to want to connect with you more, get to know you and do business with you.
Do you have a soft voice? Is it higher pitched? It doesn’t really matter, Speaking is sexy!
Can you believe I said that? This is an envelope definitely worth pushing!
I think everything you do should be sexy and when it comes to your business you might want to incorporate sexy speaking. Your words hold the power, if you truly want to stand out and position yourself and your brand in today’s marketplace you might want to start speaking (sexy)!
If repetition is the mother of all skills speaking could actually improve your communication skills and the last time I checked, learning how to communicate effectively will take you very far in business. The ability to speak in public is one of the key ingredients to your success & a sexy career!
It doesn’t matter what you’re selling i.e. yourself, a product or a service. It involves speaking and considering we live in an age of information overload, this places a higher demand on you communicating in a way that is clear and concise. Why not take the sexy approach with speaking. Your words should enrich and uplift those that you’re having a conversation with.
What’s mind boggling to me is that the fear of public speaking is listed as the #1 fear. If you truly want to overcome your fear of public speaking add mastering “sexy speaking” to your “To Do List”.
Make it a goal to speak with conviction & be confident. What you say should be jaw dropping. Otherwise why should anyone bother to listen or remember what you said in the first place? A Small Talk Repertoire is not ladylike and definitely “not cute”, speaking is sexy when you have meaningful conversations!
If you find yourself not knowing what to say, refine your pitch; it should always be pretty, “The Pretty Pitch”. Every time you’re having a conversation you’re seducing people to do something i.e. like you, know you, trust you, buy from you, be your friend, or be your life partner.
Shouldn’t it always be sexy?
Make a concerted effort, take the time to “practice what you speak” and communicate effectively so people will remember you and find themselves more engaged to get to know you better.
It might be time to take the sexy approach when you speak!
